Purlin roll-forming machines are core equipment in the production of steel structure building materials. They specialize in cold-rolling galvanized steel, color-coated steel, and other metal sheets (thickness 0.8-3mm) into C-, Z-, and U-shaped purlins, providing critical support for building roofs and walls.
The process is highly automated: the coiled material is stably discharged from a feeder, corrected by a guide device, and then enters a sequence of 15-25 rollers. Each set of rollers progressively rolls and shapes the sheet material according to preset parameters, gradually bending it from the edge to the entire structure into the desired cross-section. This entire process is performed at room temperature, preserving the steel's original mechanical properties. The formed continuous profile is cut to length (with an accuracy of ±1mm) by a hydraulic flying saw and automatically stacked. The entire process is precisely controlled by a PLC system, achieving a continuous processing speed of 10-30 meters per minute, with a single-shift production capacity exceeding 15,000 meters.
The equipment's core advantages are significant: it utilizes alloy rolls with a hardness of HRC55 or higher, ensuring long-term machining accuracy. It supports rapid die changes within 30-60 minutes, accommodating diverse requirements ranging from widths of 100-300mm and lengths of 1-12 meters. It boasts a material utilization rate exceeding 95%, while energy consumption is 60% lower than that of hot rolling processes. The finished product has a cross-sectional error of ≤±0.5mm and a straightness error of ≤1mm/m, ensuring precise installation.
This equipment is widely used in steel structures such as industrial plants, warehouses, and stadiums, and is a key driver of lightweight and modular construction, improving production efficiency while ensuring structural stability.
